About the Grantham  MechVent™

WHAT IS IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Being introduced to the firefighting community by Boston area firm Patents Etcetera, the Grantham MechVent™ is a novel, potentially ground-breaking firefighting device developed for the sole purpose of preventing or minimizing flashover.
The Grantham MechVent™ requires neither that a firefighter enter the burning building to put it in position nor remain in the building to operate it, thereby further decreasing the risk to firefighters.

This device is under "patent pending status".

About the Inventor

Bobby Grantham

The Grantham MechVent™ was conceived, invented and developed by Massachusetts resident, firefighter Bobby Grantham in 2010. Surviving two brain aneurysms in 2010, Bobby decided to continue his passion of saving lives by firefighting by inventing a device that allows firefighters to condition the environment in the compartment being entered to greatly minimize the chances of flashover occurring by removing built-up heat and smoke prior to entry.
